This senior role focuses on developing, managing, and delivering clean energy and infrastructure projects from concept to finalization. The successful candidate will lead project teams, conduct market research, and create comprehensive business cases, financial models, and risk assessments. Key responsibilities include negotiating and managing complex agreements with partners and Indigenous communities, building strong stakeholder relationships, and presenting project proposals to senior leadership. The role requires ensuring projects comply with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and Indigenous rights, while contributing to the strategic planning of the Clean Energy and Infrastructure Development team.

Prerequisites include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (an MBA or Master’s is preferred), along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, project management, or a similar role within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector. Candidates must demonstrate experience leading complex projects, a proven track record of successful negotiation and deal closure, and strong business acumen with financial modeling skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities are essential, as is a deep understanding of the clean energy landscape, regulatory environment, and Indigenous engagement protocols in British Columbia. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, strong negotiation skills, and a valid BC Driver’s License are also required.
