About the Role
Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Commercial & Impact Officer (CCIO) is a critical member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) responsible for leading the planning and implementation of strategies to drive revenue generation, brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement. The CCIO will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission and achieving its strategic objectives through innovative commercial initiatives and impactful partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, and secure revenue-generating partnerships, sponsorships, and philanthropic opportunities.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Drive initiatives to expand the organization’s reach and impact, including program development, community engagement, and advocacy efforts.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commercial and impact initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment across all activities.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Serve as a key spokesperson and ambassador for the organization, representing its values and mission to diverse audiences.
- Support the CEO and Board of Directors in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial development, marketing, fundraising, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit, sport, or philanthropic sector.
- Demonstrated track record of success in revenue generation, partnership development, and brand building.
- Strong understanding of impact measurement and evaluation methodologies.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to the organization’s mission and values, with a passion for driving social impact.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
