About the Role
As a Client Platform Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the client platform and infrastructure powering our generative AI products like ChatGPT and DALL·E 3. Your work will directly impact the user experience of millions, shaping how they interact with cutting-edge AI technologies.
About the Team
The Client Platform team is a foundational pillar, enabling rapid development and deployment of our user-facing applications. We work closely with product, design, and research teams to deliver performant, scalable, and delightful experiences.
You might work on:
- Building and maintaining the client platform and infrastructure powering our generative AI products like ChatGPT and DALL·E 3
- Developing high-quality, reusable, and performant UI components and design systems
- Creating internal tools and systems for rapid iteration and deployment of client features
- Collaborating closely with product designers, researchers, and backend engineers to define and implement user-facing features
- Ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our client applications
- Contributing to the overall architecture and technical vision of our client platform
You might look like:
- 5+ years of experience in client-side software engineering, with a strong focus on web technologies
- Expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and related frameworks
- Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices
- Experience with large-scale, high-performance web applications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- A passion for building user-centric products and a keen eye for detail
- Bonus points for experience with:
- Developing and maintaining design systems
- Building internal tools and developer platforms
- Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG)
- Familiarity with monorepos and build tooling (e.g., Turborepo, Vite, Webpack)
