Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist – 2nd Level Reviewer

Responsibilities:
* Conduct second-level review of inpatient medical records to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation for severity of illness, risk of mortality, and resource consumption.
* Provide education and feedback to CDI specialists based on review findings.
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and improve accuracy.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and documentation issues.
* Stay up-to-date with industry guidelines, coding changes, and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of CDI program initiatives and process improvements.
* Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a remote work environment.

Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse (RN), Physician (MD/DO), or other clinical professional degree required.
* Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification required.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical documentation integrity (CDI), with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHA Coding Clinic, and other regulatory guidelines.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
* Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and CDI software.
