Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Data Platform Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable and robust data platforms in the cloud, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
You will play a crucial role in shaping our clients’ data strategy, working closely with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into innovative solutions. Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, etc.) using various cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Architect and build robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
- Lead the development and implementation of data governance, data quality, and metadata management strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud data technologies and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the data platform roadmap.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solutioning, estimation, and technical presentations.
Prerequisites
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end cloud data platforms on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep expertise in cloud data services (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Google BigQuery, Dataflow).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala).
- Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Google Professional Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
