Communications Lead

Summary: As a Communications Lead, you will have the opportunity to serve as a key member of the Communications team focusing on a variety of internal and external initiatives across a variety of business areas. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing impactful communication strategies that enhance brand reputation, engage stakeholders, and drive business objectives. This role requires exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of media relations, content creation, and digital communication platforms. Our Communications team plays a critical role in shaping the brand narrative, engaging with key stakeholders, and showcasing our thought leadership. Responsibilities: Develop and implement communications strategies, plans, and campaigns that align with business objectives and enhance brand reputation. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert communications counsel and support on a wide range of initiatives. Lead the creation and distribution of compelling content across various channels, including press releases, thought leadership articles, social media posts, internal announcements, and presentations. Manage media relations, including proactive outreach, rapid response to inquiries, and developing strong relationships with journalists and influencers. Collaborate closely with marketing, human resources, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications efforts. Monitor and analyze media coverage, social media trends, and internal communications effectiveness, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement. Support executive communications, including drafting speeches, presentations, and internal messages. Oversee crisis communications efforts, developing strategies and materials to protect and maintain the brand’s reputation during challenging situations. Manage and mentor junior communications team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Required Experience, Qualifications & Certifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of strategic communications principles, media relations, content creation, and digital communication platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Certifications: Experience working in a professional services or consulting firm. Master’s degree in a relevant field. Familiarity with PR measurement tools and analytics platforms. Experience with internal communications platforms and tools (e.g., SharePoint, Intranet).
