We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer 5 to join our Privacy organization. As a Data Engineer 5, you will be a critical contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust data pipelines and systems that support our privacy initiatives.

What you’ll do:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust data pipelines and systems to support Privacy initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including privacy engineers, legal, product, and data scientists, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement data models that are optimized for performance, scalability, and data privacy.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and systems.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, including data governance, data lifecycle management, and data observability.
- Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering and privacy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support critical data systems.
Who you are:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Flink, Kafka, Snowflake).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud-native data services.
- Experience with data privacy concepts and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
