About the Role
Axios is hiring a Director of Live Partnerships! In this role, you will play a critical role in sourcing, developing, and executing partnerships for their Axios Live events. You will work closely with their editorial, events, and sales teams to identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and manage the end-to-end execution of sponsored content and events.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy for Axios Live events, identifying key target partners and growth opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing partners, including corporations, non-profits, and industry associations.
- Collaborate with the editorial, events, and sales teams to create compelling sponsorship packages and proposals that align with partner objectives and Axios’ brand values.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Oversee the seamless execution of sponsored content and events, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery.
- Track and analyze partnership performance, providing regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event partnerships and sponsorship, identifying new opportunities for innovation and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in partnership development, event sponsorship, or business development, preferably within the media or events industry.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and executing high-impact partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and the evolving role of live events in content strategy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external vendor relationships.
