We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Experience Strategy to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the overall user experience (UX) strategy for our clients within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. You will lead a team of talented experience strategists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with clients to deliver innovative and impactful digital solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Identify business objectives and define experience strategy based on research, stakeholder interviews, competitive audits, and current performance analytics
- Plan and facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions to drive alignment and gather insights
- Lead client interviews and develop user persona and journey maps across a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
- Present and rationalize strategic recommendations for experience design to clients
- Collaborate with clients, strategists, designers, and other key stakeholders throughout the UX design process.
- Leverage and interpret insights from a variety of quantitative and qualitative data sources, identifying opportunities and guiding team members to generate ideas and design decisions.
- Define and track key metrics, ensuring strategy aligns to business goals and delivers measurable impact.
- Support business development by creating proposals and presenting to prospective clients.
- Manage, mentor, and lead a growing team of experience strategists.
- Maintain awareness of current UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
ABOUT YOU:
- A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a pharma agency setting, where you have successfully led UX strategy initiatives from conception to execution.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing a wide range of digital experiences, including websites, mobile apps, and enterprise platforms.
- Experience working across a variety of therapeutic areas, including rare disease, oncology, and specialty medications.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Mural).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex UX concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of experience strategists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- A portfolio showcasing your UX strategy work and its impact on business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, or a related discipline). Master’s degree preferred.
