About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our API team. This role is crucial for scaling our platform and ensuring a robust, reliable, and performant API for our diverse user base. You will manage a team of talented engineers, guide technical strategy, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for our API platform, ensuring alignment with product goals and business strategy.
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and reliable API services.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment, ensuring high quality and operational excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and support career development for your team members.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong background in API design, development, and integration, preferably with experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed systems.
- Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, Java) and database technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
