The Cloud Network Engineering team is responsible for the overall network architecture, design, and operations of our global cloud infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented network engineers, driving the evolution and scaling of our cloud network to support the needs of a rapidly growing global entertainment company. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our cloud networking strategy, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with a diverse group of engineers.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented network engineers, fostering their professional growth and development, and ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Drive the architectural vision, design, and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud network infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including SRE, security, and application development teams, to understand requirements and deliver innovative networking solutions.
- Oversee project execution, from planning and prioritization to successful delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
- Ensure the operational excellence, performance, and availability of the cloud network, including participation in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and security within the team, promoting adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Manage budget and resource allocation for network projects, ensuring efficient use of company resources.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading network engineering teams in a large-scale, distributed environment.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience in cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and traditional networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs).
- Proficiency in network automation, scripting (e.g., Python, Go), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- In-depth understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and DDoS mitigation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex technical projects from conception to successful completion, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
