About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Forward Deployed Marketing Data Scientist to join our Field Marketing team. In this role, you will work directly with our largest and most strategic customers to help them unlock the full potential of their marketing data. You’ll combine your expertise in data science, marketing, and the Hightouch platform to implement innovative solutions, build robust data strategies, and drive measurable growth for our customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with our Field Marketing and Sales team to provide technical and strategic support in customer-facing scenarios.
  • Partner with marketing and analytics leaders at our largest customers to deeply understand their data, teams, and needs, and implement solutions that deliver tangible business value.
  • Build bespoke solutions that combine your expertise in data science, marketing, and the Hightouch platform to drive growth for our customers.
  • Guide customers through the process of building their modern marketing stack and help them leverage tools like Hightouch for critical use cases.
  • Synthesize insights from customer engagements and collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to improve our product, documentation, and go-to-market materials.
  • Develop and present thought leadership content (e.g., blog posts, whitepapers, webinars) that showcase innovative ways to apply data science to marketing challenges.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing data science or analytics role, ideally with a focus on marketing data.
  • Strong technical background in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and an understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strong passion for customer success and the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies (e.g., CRMs, DMPs, ESPs) and an understanding of the marketing lifecycle.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with reverse ETL or customer data platforms (CDPs).
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design (A/B testing).

Compensation:

The salary for this position is C$188k-C$295k per year, depending on experience and location. We also offer equity options and a comprehensive benefits package.
