Head of Strategic Data Partnerships

We’re looking for a Head of Strategic Data Partnerships to lead the company’s efforts in establishing, growing, and managing strategic data partnerships. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing the company’s data strategy by identifying, evaluating, and securing key data sources that enhance our product offerings and provide unique value to our clients.

As the Head of Strategic Data Partnerships, you will be responsible for building and scaling the company’s data ecosystem, ensuring we have access to the most relevant and impactful data sets to fuel our AI-driven creative optimization platform. You will report to our VP of Business Development and will work closely with leadership across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and integrating new data partnerships aligned with our product roadmap and business objectives.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential data providers, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, legal, and sales teams to define data requirements, integration plans, and go-to-market strategies for new data-driven products and features.
  • Drive the commercialization of data partnerships, including defining pricing models, licensing agreements, and revenue-sharing structures.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging data technologies to identify new opportunities and inform our data strategy.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data partnerships, from initial outreach and due diligence to contract negotiation, integration, and ongoing performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance policies across all data partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events, promoting our data capabilities and fostering a network of potential partners.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of data partnership managers.

Prerequisites:

  • 10+ years of experience in data partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within the advertising technology, marketing analytics, or data science industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and managing complex data partnerships that have driven significant business impact.
  • Deep understanding of the data ecosystem, including various data types (e.g., audience, contextual, performance), data sources, and data activation strategies.
  • Strong legal and commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and understanding of data licensing and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market trends and business objectives into actionable data partnership strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
