labour lawyer

As a Labour lawyer, you will be responsible for representing clients in courts, before boards, tribunals or commissions, and negotiating settlements of civil disputes. You will also draft wills and prepare real estate transactions, research legal precedents, gather evidence, and provide legal advice and services in a specialized field of law. The role requires performing all functions of a legal advisor and overseeing and co-ordinating the legal work of others.

Job requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
  • Certifications and Licences: Licensure by a provincial or territorial law society; Member of the Bar of Ontario
  • Other requirements: Must be able to work in Canada, and be licensed to practice law in Ontario.
