A Platform Engineer who is passionate about building, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting applications and infrastructure in a cloud-first environment. You have deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms and services.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms and services using cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, technical requirements, and development roadmaps for platform initiatives.
- Develop and maintain robust automation tools and processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance of production systems.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
- Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related role, with a strong focus on cloud-native technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Expertise in monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid grasp of networking concepts, security principles, and database systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, and Spark is a strong plus.
