Lead Product Designer

About the Role

As a Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product experience. You will be responsible for leading design initiatives, mentoring junior designers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-centric solutions. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on design expertise, and a passion for creating impactful products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery to delivery, ensuring a holistic and coherent user experience across the product.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the design team.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product strategy, roadmap, and requirements.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
  • Design and prototype intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Champion user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all products.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to various stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale and impact.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, demonstrating expertise in UX, UI, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing insights into actionable design recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional development.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Points

  • Experience designing for FinTech or financial services products.
  • Familiarity with Web3 or blockchain technologies.
  • Experience contributing to or managing a design system.
