Lead Project Manager – CRO Programs

About the team
GitLab is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Project Manager to lead and drive the execution of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) programs across our Growth Marketing team. As a key member of the Growth Marketing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of CRO initiatives to improve website performance, user experience, and conversion funnels. What you’ll do
* Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of CRO programs, from ideation and experimentation to implementation and analysis.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, data science, and design, to identify CRO opportunities and define project scopes.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
* Oversee the A/B testing process, including test design, implementation, monitoring, and analysis of results.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on the progress and impact of CRO initiatives.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, escalating as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly evaluating and optimizing CRO processes and methodologies.
* Mentor and guide junior team members, providing coaching and support to enhance their project management and CRO skills.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in CRO and project management, incorporating new insights into our strategies.

What you’ll bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
* 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on CRO or growth marketing initiatives.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex CRO programs and driving measurable business results.
* Strong understanding of CRO methodologies, A/B testing best practices, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude).
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace).
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience working with remote teams and a distributed workforce is a plus.
* PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
* Experience working in a SaaS or technology company is a plus.
