As Legal Counsel, you will join the legal team and become an integral part of our business, working directly with clients across the globe. You will provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on a range of topics, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. What you’ll do:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and NDAs.
- Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters, including copyright, trademark, and licensing.
- Advise on data privacy and security issues, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data protection laws.
- Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including sales, product, engineering, and finance, to provide legal guidance and support.
- Manage and oversee legal disputes and litigation.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations and proactively advise the business on potential risks and opportunities.
What you’ll bring:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
- 5+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly SaaS agreements.
- Solid understanding of intellectual property law, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and general corporate law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
