We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager – IT Asset Management to lead our global ITAM team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies for the entire IT asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and driving efficiency across our hardware and software assets. You will foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage the IT Asset Management team globally, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for ITAM lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software assets.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the ITAM database, ensuring all assets are meticulously documented and reconciled.
- Drive the selection, implementation, and optimization of ITAM tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, legal, and other departments to ensure compliance with financial reporting, licensing agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate with vendors and manage third-party relationships to optimize asset costs and service levels.
- Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for ITAM, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage software license compliance and optimization efforts to minimize risks and reduce costs.
- Identify and implement process improvements within ITAM to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting their growth and career aspirations within the organization.
What you’ll need:
- 7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing global ITAM programs.
- In-depth knowledge of ITAM best practices, frameworks (ITIL), and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycle management, including licensing models, procurement, and disposal.
- Experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software) and their integration with other enterprise systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
