Job Description

As a Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing marine operations, ensuring safety, and managing the financial aspects of services. This role involves comprehensive planning, coordination, and evaluation of daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans and procedures for operations.
  • Develop and implement plans and procedures for health and safety.
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
  • Monitor the quality of products and services.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
  • Manage financial aspects of operations.

Prerequisites

  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate; First Aid Certificate; Marine Emergency Duties Certificate; Restricted Operator Certificate (ROC); Transport Canada Marine Medical Certificate.
  • Area of Specialization: Navigational equipment; Marine construction; Maritime; Nautical; Shipping.
