The company is building the ultimate bridge & DEX aggregator to make cross-chain accessible for everyone. This requires us to develop, integrate and maintain smart contracts that enable swaps, bridging, and other functionalities across various EVM chains, while maintaining high security standards. We’re a remote-first, fast-growing team of ~60 passionate and entrepreneurial individuals distributed across the globe, with the majority in EMEA & APAC. We are seeking a Mid/Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts for various DeFi protocols (swaps, bridging, etc.).
- Perform thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and gas optimization techniques.
- Collaborate closely with our backend and frontend teams to integrate smart contracts with off-chain systems and user interfaces.
- Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and architectural design to deployment and post-launch monitoring.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, protocols, and security vulnerabilities within the blockchain ecosystem.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our development processes, tools, and infrastructure.
What we’re looking for
- Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in smart contract development, preferably within the DeFi space.
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and familiarity with EVM-compatible blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, etc.).
- Extensive experience with Hardhat, Foundry, or similar development frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to write secure, gas-efficient, and well-tested smart contracts.
- Experience with common DeFi primitives (AMMs, lending protocols, etc.) and security best practices.
- Familiarity with secure coding principles and common attack vectors (reentrancy, front-running, etc.).
- Prior experience contributing to open-source projects or public smart contract repositories is a plus.
- Skills & Mindset:
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Passion for blockchain technology, DeFi, and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Bonus:
- Experience with cross-chain communication protocols (LayerZero, Wormhole, etc.).
- Knowledge of other blockchain languages (Rust, Vyper) or ecosystems (Cosmos, Solana).
- Auditing experience or participation in bug bounty programs.
- Experience with formal verification or advanced testing methodologies.
