Netflix is looking for a Product Manager to define and execute the product vision for our game developer tools, focusing on tools and platforms that enable game studios (internal and external) to efficiently build, operate, and scale games.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of game developers, identifying opportunities to improve their workflow, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance the quality and efficiency of game development. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product management experience, and a passion for gaming.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for games developer tools, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Partner with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver tools that meet the needs of game studios.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities and improvements.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and user stories, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value.
- Communicate product updates, roadmap, and key metrics to stakeholders.
- Drive adoption and success of developer tools through effective launch strategies, documentation, and support.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the product development team.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on developer tools, platforms, or APIs in the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of game development workflows, tools, and technologies (e.g., game engines, build systems, analytics, live ops).
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful products that meet customer needs and drive business impact.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform product decisions and measure success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Experience working with external partners or third-party developers is a plus.
