As a Product Owner, you will be a key member of a cross-functional Agile team responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team. What you’ll do
- Maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team.
- Clearly expressing Product Backlog items.
- Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions.
- Ensuring the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by everyone.
- Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
- Defining Product Features/Stories for the team using a clear and concise language focusing on outcomes.
- Providing product context and “just in time” story elaboration, including functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies.
- Ensuring the product aligns with the overall product strategy and vision.
- Monitoring market trends, competition, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
- Continuously seeking ways to improve the product and its features.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the product meets business and customer needs.
- Driving value and communicating progress against defined metrics.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.
- Partnering closely with the Scrum Master to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including product owner experience.
- Deep understanding of Guidewire Billing Center and experience working within a Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center implementation project.
- Knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance is required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data and processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
