As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Guidehouse, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
Your Impact
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of software applications.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and provide actionable recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in quality assurance.
What You Will Need
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field.
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances, US Citizenship is required.
What Would Be Nice
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
