Responsibilities
- Represent clients in courts or before government and administrative boards
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
- Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses and prepare legal documents
- Provide legal advice and opinions to clients
- Draw up wills, trusts and other legal documents in accordance with clients’ instructions
Requirements
Education
- Completion of a professional law degree (LL.B., BCL, J.D.)
Experience
- 5 years or more
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Law Society of Ontario, Certificate of Qualification
- Law Society of Ontario, Member in Good Standing
