Sales Senior Solutions Consultant – Financials and Fundraising

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Solutions Consultant to join our dynamic sales team. Reporting to the Manager, Sales Solutions, you will lead the technical discovery process, present product demonstrations, and participate in strategic conversations with prospects across various nonprofit verticals, including Foundations, Healthcare, Arts & Culture, and Education. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the technical discovery process to understand prospects’ current challenges and future goals.
  • Perform in-depth product demonstrations tailored to the prospect’s requirements, showcasing how Blackbaud’s solutions can address their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach to closing deals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Blackbaud’s Financial and Fundraising solutions, staying up-to-date on product enhancements and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients, establishing trust and credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Contribute to the development of sales tools, resources, and best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to represent Blackbaud and network with potential clients.
  • Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on market needs and prospect feedback.

What we’ll want you to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or similar pre-sales role, preferably within the nonprofit technology sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting complex sales cycles and achieving revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of financial accounting principles and fundraising best practices, particularly within the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and accounting software solutions (e.g., Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics GP/365, NetSuite).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
