Senior Account Manager

This role is based out of our San Francisco office. We offer a hybrid model for employees. What does that mean? Aurora employees come into the office 2-3 times per week to collaborate in person. The remaining days of the week, employees can choose to work from home.

About the Role

The Senior Account Manager at Aurora Solar will be a key individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth from an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts. You will be building long-term relationships and expanding usage of Aurora Solar’s products, while serving as a strategic consultant to our most important customers.

What you’ll do

  • Drive revenue growth and achieve or exceed sales quotas from an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs, and developing tailored solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and recommendations to maximize the value they derive from Aurora Solar’s products.
  • Proactively identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, support) to ensure customer success and satisfaction.
  • Negotiate contracts and renewals effectively, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and Aurora Solar.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
  • Provide regular forecasts and reports on account status, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and Aurora Solar product developments.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the SaaS or renewable energy industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and renewable energy market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
