We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring that our product, marketing, and leadership teams have access to reliable and actionable insights.
What you’ll do:
- Own the entire analytics data lifecycle, from data ingestion and transformation to reporting and analysis.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data models in dbt to support various analytical needs.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using tools like Fivetran and BigQuery to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports in tools like Looker (or similar BI tools) to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior data professionals, fostering a culture of data excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the analytics engineering space.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Strong experience with dbt (data build tool) for data modeling and transformation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, Airbyte).
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for dashboarding and reporting.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Bonus points:
- Experience with Python for data scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and methodologies.
