What will you do?
- Provide technical support to animators, troubleshoot tools and pipeline problems.
- Collaborate with other TDs on creating new tools and improving existing ones to enhance animation workflow and quality.
- Design and implement animation control rigs (character, facial, props).
- Work with animators and programmers on animation systems to identify and resolve performance and quality issues.
- Mentor other TDs and animators, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tools, rigs, and workflows.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience as an Animation TD in the game development industry.
- Expertise in Maya and Python.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, motion capture, and rigging techniques.
- Experience with real-time game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Knowledge of C++ and API scripting (e.g., Maya API) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for video games and a strong understanding of game development pipelines.
