About the role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fully distributed engineering team and help us scale our platform. You’ll work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to build and improve our API, core services, and infrastructure.

What you’ll do
– Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend services.
– Design, implement, and optimize APIs that power our user-facing applications.
– Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver new features.
– Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.
– Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
– Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise with the team.
What you’ll bring
– 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
– Proficient in at least one backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java) and experience with TypeScript.
– Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
– Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
– Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice to haves:
– Experience with serverless technologies.
– Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
– Experience with real-time data processing or message queues.
