Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Hosting

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Hosting, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers Webflow’s hosting services. You will work on a mission-critical system, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure hosting infrastructure.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents and provide timely resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on hosting, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Deep understanding of networking, security, and operating systems (Linux).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement highly available and scalable systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with CDN (Content Delivery Network) technologies (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai) is a plus.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) is a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
