  • Build systems to orchestrate and automate infrastructure provisioning, management, and monitoring.
  • Develop tooling, documentation, and processes that enable other engineers to confidently develop and deploy software.
  • Contribute to incident response processes, post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives for system reliability.
  • Collaborate with and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Proactively identify and address technical debt and areas for improvement in our infrastructure.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform strongly preferred).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and well-tested code (Python preferred).
  • Deep understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for automation and building reliable, self-service platforms.
  • Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with distributed systems and data processing technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with geological data or scientific computing environments.
