Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including client agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and internal policies.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks across the organization, developing and implementing proactive strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of evolving legal landscapes and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., sales, product, finance) to support business initiatives and ensure legal considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
- Oversee and manage external legal counsel relationships as needed.
- Develop and deliver legal training and education to employees on relevant legal topics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal legal processes and policies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive legal experience, with a strong background in corporate, commercial, and technology law, either in-house or at a reputable law firm.
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents with precision and clarity.
- In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and intellectual property rights.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Experience with legal tech solutions and SaaS business models is a plus.
