Senior Manager – Games Licensing Operations

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Games Licensing Operations to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to help define and build the future of games operations. This role will be an integral part of our business and drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and manage our external partnerships. This person will lead a team of operations managers and play a pivotal role in shaping how licensed games content is handled.

About the Role

The Games Licensing Operations team manages the full lifecycle of licensed games, from strategic partnerships, deal negotiations, title onboarding, and ongoing operational support. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead this critical function, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of games.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of operations managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the games licensing lifecycle.
  • Oversee the end-to-end operational workflow for licensed games, including deal negotiation support, contract management, onboarding, asset delivery, localization, quality control, and ongoing live operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, product, engineering, marketing, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of games.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, publishers, and developers.
  • Develop and implement best practices, tools, and processes to optimize efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with games licensing, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the games, entertainment, or digital content industries.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams, with a proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing individuals.
  • Deep understanding of the games licensing ecosystem, including deal structures, content acquisition, and operational workflows.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives, implement process improvements, and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
