An AI-powered platform for commercial insurance, the company empowers insurers to underwrite more accurately and efficiently. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will build and maintain infrastructure, tooling, and services to support engineering teams and product, driving the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform.
What you will do:
- Design, build, and maintain our core platform infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS.
- Develop and implement internal tooling and services to automate operational tasks, enhance developer experience, and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure their applications are scalable, performant, and secure, providing guidance and support on best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new technologies and practices that can improve our platform’s capabilities and efficiency.
- Contribute to the security posture of the platform, implementing best practices and tooling to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
- Drive initiatives to improve observability across our systems, ensuring we have clear insights into performance and health.
What you bring:
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE in a cloud-native environment (preferably AWS).
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Deep understanding and experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
