About the Role
The Data Platform organization builds technology, infrastructure, and tools that enable teams to collect, store, process, and analyze petabytes of data at scale. As a Senior Product Designer on the Online Data Stores and Movement Platform, you will be instrumental in evolving our offerings, ensuring they meet the diverse and growing needs of our internal engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers, focusing on enhancing the usability, efficiency, and overall experience of these critical data systems.
What you will do
- Drive the end-to-end design process from discovery and research to ideation, prototyping, and final implementation, ensuring a user-centered approach.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product strategy, requirements, and roadmaps, translating complex technical problems into intuitive and effective design solutions.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors, informing design decisions.
- Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across our data platform products.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale and incorporating feedback to refine designs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement.
