About the Role
The Netflix Games organization is building a studio to create fantastic original games for Netflix members worldwide. Our team develops innovative experiences for mobile devices to be enjoyed by millions of users. We are looking for talented and passionate individuals who can help us build a world-class game studio.
As a Senior Software Engineer (L5), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and operating the foundational services and systems that power our games. You will work on challenging technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers to foster a culture of excellence.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and operate services and systems for our games.
Solve complex technical challenges and implement robust solutions that scale.
Drive and contribute to the architecture and design of new systems.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality games.
Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need
8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in the games industry.
Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Go, Python).
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with game development platforms, engines, and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
