What you’ll do:
- Architect, design, and implement robust localization solutions for Mozilla products and services.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure localization requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain tools, pipelines, and processes to streamline localization workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve localization-related issues across various platforms and environments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in localization engineering.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on localization engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Strong understanding of localization standards, tools, and processes (e.g., LTR, RTL, Unicode, CLDR, CAT tools).
- Experience with internationalization (i18n) and globalization (g11n) best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and globally distributed environment.
