Senior Software Engineering Educator – AI Enablement

About the team

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineering Educator to join our growing team. This role will focus on AI enablement, helping our engineers effectively leverage artificial intelligence tools and techniques in their day-to-day work. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering engaging educational programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring our engineering teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to integrate AI seamlessly into our products and processes.

This is a remote role and we are hiring in the US and Canada.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and deliver hands-on, highly technical, and engaging educational content for software engineers on topics related to AI enablement, particularly around using AI tools and APIs in practical engineering workflows.
  • Develop comprehensive learning paths, tutorials, code labs, and workshops that cater to various skill levels within the engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, product managers, and other engineering leaders to identify learning needs, define curriculum objectives, and ensure content relevance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update educational materials to reflect the latest advancements in AI technologies and best practices, as well as internal tooling and standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering organization.
  • Provide personalized guidance and mentorship to engineers, helping them overcome technical challenges and grow their AI-related skills.
  • Measure the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, iterating as needed to maximize impact.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for AI enablement, staying current with industry trends and contributing to internal knowledge bases and communities.
  • Potentially contribute to the development of internal tools or platforms that facilitate AI learning and experimentation.

You’ll be a good fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong track record of shipping production-grade software.
  • Possess deep technical expertise in AI/ML concepts, tools, and best practices, particularly regarding the practical application of large language models (LLMs) and related APIs in software development workflows.
  • Are passionate about teaching and empowering other engineers, with demonstrated experience in technical instruction, curriculum development, or mentorship.
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Are proficient in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, TypeScript) and familiar with common development tools and environments.
  • Are able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Are based in the US or Canada and able to work full-time remote.
  • Are able to pass a background check.

The base salary for this role in Canada is C$225,450-C$280,800 per year. The base salary for this role in the US is $165,000-$225,000 per year.

Salary for this role will be determined by a number of factors, including skills, experience, and your location.

  1. Initial screen to discuss your background and experience.
  2. “Deep dive” interviews focused on your technical expertise, instructional abilities, and collaboration skills.
