About the Role
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, Security, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the execution of the security roadmap. You’ll work closely with engineering and security leadership to manage complex programs, ensure timely delivery, and enhance our overall security posture. This role requires a blend of technical depth, program management expertise, and strong communication skills to navigate cross-functional initiatives and foster a secure environment for users and data.
What you’ll do
– Partner with security and engineering leadership to define and drive the execution of the organization’s security roadmap.
– Manage cross-functional technical programs, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful delivery.
– Establish and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
– Develop and implement program management best practices, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting.
– Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment across various teams.
– Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the security organization.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall security posture and operational efficiency.
What you’ll bring
– 8+ years of experience in technical program management, with a strong focus on security.
– Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale, complex technical programs from conception to completion.
– Deep understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices (e.g., application security, infrastructure security, cloud security, identity and access management).
– Experience working with various engineering teams (e.g. backend, frontend, infrastructure, SRE) in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
– Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies.
– Experience working in a remote-first company and with globally distributed teams.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
