About the team:
The organization is a regulated crypto exchange and one of the oldest and most trusted crypto platforms in the world. As a Senior Technical Project Manager on the Core Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading complex technical projects that underpin the entire exchange and infrastructure. This is a critical role that will drive the successful delivery of key initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of the core systems.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects within the Core Infrastructure domain, encompassing areas such as cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and developer tooling.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering leads, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks, dependencies, and risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and champion agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and iterative development.
- Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders on status, risks, and achievements.
- Collaborate with engineering managers and technical leads to optimize resource utilization and ensure project alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project management processes, tools, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in technical project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), networking, or security within a fast-paced technology company.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience implementing them effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a data-driven approach.
- Experience working in a regulated environment or financial services industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is a plus.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
