We’re looking for a passionate and results-driven Small Commercial Territory Manager to join our team. In this remote role, you’ll be responsible for managing a territory of independent insurance agencies, driving growth, profitability, and retention of small commercial business.

You will identify opportunities, consult with agencies, and implement strategies to meet business goals. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of small commercial insurance products.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory of independent insurance agencies to drive growth, profitability, and retention of small commercial business.
  • Identify opportunities, consult with agencies, and implement strategies to meet business goals.
  • Conduct agency visits to establish and maintain strong relationships, assess performance, and address agency needs.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Underwriting, Claims, Service) to deliver exceptional agency experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on small commercial products, appetite, and technology.
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor agency performance, identify trends, and develop action plans.
  • Train and educate agency staff on products, systems, and sales techniques.
  • Represent the company at industry events and agency functions.
  • Adhere to company guidelines, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Regular travel within the assigned territory (up to 50% may be required).

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or underwriting within the insurance industry, with a focus on small commercial business.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong agency relationships.
  • Strong understanding of small commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
