About the Role
The Risk engineering team at is dedicated to protecting and its customers from fraud and other financial crimes. We build the systems that help prevent illicit activity, working in close partnership with our Risk Operations, Product, and Data Science teams. As a Software Engineer on the Risk team, you’ll be responsible for:
* Building systems to detect and prevent fraud and other financial crimes
* Improving and maintaining core infrastructure for risk systems
* Collaborating with our product, operations, data science, and other engineering teams
* Developing scalable and robust solutions for real-time transaction monitoring, behavioral analysis, and identity verification
Requirements
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer
* Strong communication skills
* Experience with Python and SQL
* Experience building scalable and robust backend systems
* Experience working with large datasets
* Nice to haves: Experience with financial risk, fraud detection, machine learning, data engineering, distributed systems, Kubernetes, AWS, Go
Compensation
The salary range for this role is C$189,000 – C$221,000 per year, depending on your experience and location.
