About the team:
Solutions Engineers work alongside a cross-functional team of account managers, sales engineers, strategic engineers, and agency partners to serve some of the biggest brands in the world. We’re passionate about delighting clients with high-quality, scalable solutions built on open source technologies.
What you’ll do
- Act as a lead architect and trusted advisor, guiding global brands to successfully launch, maintain, and evolve their digital presence on WordPress VIP.
- Architect and lead technical conversations with diverse audiences from developers and project managers to C-level executives.
- Deeply understand client and partner needs, and creatively solve complex business and technical challenges through a thorough knowledge of WordPress VIP’s product suite and the broader WordPress ecosystem.
- Develop high-quality technical documentation for internal and external audiences, educating clients and partners on WordPress VIP best practices and our suite of products.
- Collaborate across teams to share client feedback and drive product improvements.
- Maintain a broad and deep knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to our clients’ needs.
Who you are
- A thoughtful communicator with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts simply.
- An empathetic problem solver with a desire to help clients succeed.
- A proactive and detail-oriented professional with a bias towards action.
- You have a strong understanding of web technologies and have worked with a variety of programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Python, Go).
- You have a solid understanding of modern web development and distributed systems, and you are fluent in cloud architecture principles (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- You are familiar with modern DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, IaC, monitoring).
- You have prior experience working at an enterprise-focused company, preferably in a technical client-facing role.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing situations, and make sound decisions under pressure.

The salary for this role is between C$200,000 to C$267,000 annually. For most locations, the salary is near the middle of the range. Your compensation will be based on a number of factors, including your location, skills, and experience. We are happy to talk further about this during the hiring process.
