We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Category Manager-Global Procurement (Hardware, Software, Infrastructure) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive category strategies, driving innovation within the supply chain, managing complex supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement global category strategies for hardware, software, and infrastructure, aligning with business goals and market trends.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Drive cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing initiatives, demand management, and continuous process improvement.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new technologies, suppliers, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their requirements and ensure effective category management.
- Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering innovation and performance improvement.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting to track category performance, identify opportunities, and present insights to stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on hardware, software, and/or infrastructure.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies and driving cost efficiencies.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, and supplier negotiation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with e-procurement platforms and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Travel up to 10% may be required.
