As a Sr Staff Quantitative User Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products by delivering impactful insights from complex quantitative data. You will lead large-scale research projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior researchers, all while advocating for a data-driven approach to product development.
As a Sr Staff Quantitative User Researcher at Mozilla, you will:
- Lead large and complex quantitative research projects spanning multiple product areas, defining research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, executing studies, analyzing data, and synthesizing findings.
- Apply a diverse range of quantitative methods, including surveys, A/B tests, quasi-experiments, statistical modeling, and data analysis of large-scale behavioral data.
- Communicate research insights and recommendations to product, engineering, and leadership teams in a clear, concise, and compelling manner, influencing product strategy and design decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, providing research guidance and ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of product development.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a culture of research excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of research tools, methods, and best practices within the research team.
- Evangelize the value of quantitative user research across the organization, helping to build a data-driven culture.
Your Professional Experience Includes:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in quantitative user research, with a proven track record of leading impactful research projects in a fast-paced product development environment.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in a wide range of quantitative research methods, including survey design, experimental design, statistical analysis (e.g., regression, ANOVA, multivariate analysis), and data visualization.
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL) for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and design through research insights.
- Experience working with large-scale behavioral data and telemetry.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior researchers.

Salary Transparency
The annual salary for this position is C$128k-C$189k. However, the exact salary may vary depending on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
