We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Designer to join our team, working in the Emerging Technologies Group. In this role, you’ll be an experienced and autonomous product designer responsible for the end-to-end user experience of our emerging products and platforms. We are looking for someone who can drive design strategy, execute on the full product design lifecycle, and contribute to the growth and development of other designers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design Strategy and Leadership: Define and articulate the vision and strategy for your product area, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. Advocate for user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- End-to-End Product Design: Lead the design process from concept to launch, including user research, ideation, prototyping, user testing, and visual design.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the design community of practice.
- User Advocacy: Be a strong voice for the user, ensuring their needs and feedback are central to the design process.
- Technical Understanding: Understand technical constraints and opportunities, working effectively with engineering teams to bring designs to life.
Prerequisites:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful product launches. Experience working on emerging technologies or platforms is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to tackle complex design challenges.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
