As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll work on the Retirement team and will be instrumental in shaping the user experience for our retirement products. You’ll partner closely with a cross-functional team including other designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and content strategists.

What you’ll do:
- As a Staff Product Designer on the Retirement team, you’ll work across our web, mobile, and API surfaces.
- You’ll partner closely with a cross-functional team including other designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and content strategists.
- You’ll play an instrumental role in shaping the user experience for our retirement products, designing end-to-end flows, and crafting beautiful, intuitive, and accessible interfaces.
- You’ll be a strategic partner, contributing to product strategy and collaborating to define key metrics and drive product outcomes.
- You’ll lead by example, mentoring more junior designers and elevating the design craft on your team and across Gusto.
- You’ll contribute to our broader design system, working with other designers and engineers to ensure consistency and quality across our products.
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on complex product challenges.
- Experience designing for B2B or FinTech products, ideally with a focus on retirement, benefits, or financial services.
- Expertise in crafting intuitive user experiences, with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- A track record of leading significant design initiatives and driving product outcomes.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience working with design systems and contributing to their evolution.
- Bonus points for experience with user research, prototyping, and accessibility best practices.
Our cash compensation range for this role is C$197,100-C$299,700 per year in Canada. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. (See below for additional compensation information.)
