The Grafana Cloud k6 team focuses on building and maintaining a highly scalable and reliable managed service for k6, our open-source load testing tool. We empower developers to test the performance of their applications with confidence, providing deep insights into system behavior under load.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Grafana Cloud k6.
- Design, implement, and optimize distributed systems and cloud services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in software development, particularly with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
