As a Staff Software Engineer, Personal Banking, you’ll join our engineering team and help us build out a new consumer banking product at Mercury.
What you’ll do:
- Design and build features across the entire stack for our new consumer banking product
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams
- Own the technical vision and architecture for critical parts of the product
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
- Contribute to shaping the technical roadmap and strategy for Personal Banking
Who you are:
- You have 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- You are excited about building a consumer banking product from the ground up
- You have experience building backend systems and APIs in a modern language like Go, Python, or Ruby (we use Go)
- You have experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue (we use React and Typescript)
- You have experience with relational databases and SQL (we use Postgres)
- You have strong system design and architecture skills
- You are a clear and concise communicator
- Bonus points: You have experience with financial systems
